Michael Jordan Boycott

The inauguration of Michael Jordan became a member of the Hall of Fame was not attended by the former Chicago Bulls general manager Jerry Krause. What is the reason Krause 'boycott' inauguration?

Jordan, along with former San Antonio Spurs center David Robinson, guard and coach the Utah Jazz, John Stockton and Jerry Sloan, and C. Vivian Stringer is inserted into the Hall of Fame on Friday (11/9/2009) local time.

"Michael is the greatest basketball player ever to play in team sports. He has given everything to me and my family," Krause said as quoted by ESPN.

"We all feel lucky with Michael being there. And for him, I'm feeling happy," Krause said later.

Krause became GM Bulls in 1985, a year after the team from the 'City of Winds' is to draft Jordan. With Jordan as the motor and coach Phil Jackson as a regulator of tactics and strategies, making the Bulls six NBA titles.

Jordan retired in 1998. Jackson drew back from the Bulls and will plead not train anymore, but changed his mind and a year later he refine the LA Lakers.

Jackson's departure was followed by a loyal assistant and the creator of the strategy that famous triangle offense, Tex Winter. Winter move that makes Krause seems to hurt.

Winter, though recognized as the brains behind the success of Jackson's worth at the Bulls and Lakers, was not appreciated enough. His name has not entered into the Hall of Fame and that was the reason why Krause heart 'boycott' Jordan.

"Hall of Fame is something personal with me. I will not go there again before Tex recognized," says Krause who is now 70 years old.
